To the woman who feels unseen, unheard, and misunderstood...

You are doing an amazing job. So much goes on behind the scenes that no one sees. All the work and intentional actions you take that go unrecognized still matter. They make a difference. YOU make a difference.

Keep showing up. Keep taking steps. You are needed. Deep down you know the journey is what matters. What you’re learning and how you’re growing is a reward in itself. But even still— it’s not wrong to want to be seen. To be heard. To be understood. You’re human and those desires are innate in us.

Can you give those things to yourself? Can you be still and sit with yourself for a moment? Let’s recognize ourselves. Let’s see the incredible job we’re doing. We can so easily be our own worst critic, but for once can we be our own cheerleader? Can we tell ourselves the GOOD we’re doing and the progress we’re making?

I know it can be tiring to pump yourself up and be your own rallying squad. I’m here for you. I’m cheering for you. I’m here to tell you that your voice needs to be heard. Giving up and shrinking back will not help you feel better, even if it seems like the easier option.

Not everyone needs to “get it”. They don’t have to see the vision you do. Their words may hurt as they try to be practical and keep you safe. That’s okay. You don’t have to filter or alter or water down yourself or your message. You’re tough. You’re called. Keep going.

What in you needs to be heard? How can you express it? Say to yourself:

I see you.

I hear you.

I love you.

Know you are deeply supported. You can give yourself everything you need. The encouragement. The love. The light. It’s within you. Sometimes we get too busy to look inward to see it. Take a moment today to remind yourself of who you are.

Then dust yourself off and keep shining. The people that need your work will see you. The people who need your voice will hear you. And those that are meant to will understand. You are resilient, and I’m rooting for you!

A little over to months ago, I signed out of my social media apps and deleted them from my phone... here's what happened: My screen time cut in half I felt less distracted/more present with my family
